WOOT, and a house and stuff!!!!

So Amber and I pulled the trigger today on a new home. It will be done being built sometime between June and August.

www.khov.com/Home/AZ/T1/ModelsAvailable/CORSICA2023/_Properties_AUTH.htm

That will be what our house is, bought it on a premium oversized lot.

Finally, my day has come.

This year has been full of bullshit and more bullshit. A single class I had to take to graduate after I thought I had. That lead to not getting a position at Raytheon. Well my ship landed bitches. I held out, did what I had to do and got the offer. Naysayers can blow me. 48,000 a year. Who says someone cant demand they get paid well. Waiting it out and getting the right pay with a company with amazing job security was worth the stress and shit I and others went through.

48 fucking thousand a year. Shit yeah. Time to start some serious house hunting after saving up some down payment money. I just ran around the house jumping up and down cheering lol.

*drool* Lobotomy

Amber and I picked up our new tv today. A 40" Samsung 1080p lcd. It is like electric love, pulsing bits of hi def goodness into my veins. My PS3 and Xbox 360 look amazing. We can also finally utilize the digital hd cable we have. Big time drooling going on here. It dwarfs our old tube tv and make it look like crap.

Project "Killer" progress

So I put in my $3,000 deposit to begin the work on the Firebird today. That's about a third of what the final cost is gonna be. Gotta pay to play though. This is what should have been done a year ago instead of going through all the shit I did. Ray is stoked to work on my car. He doesn't get to do project cars too much these days, but he wants to get involved in my car heavily. With the examination of the car today, Ray said it would need a new quarter panel, fender and cowl panel.

Tomorrow they will epoxy seal the frame and wheel wells, then begin doing some light sandblasting to remove a few sections of small surface rust that has been sealed away under primer for some time. I can't wait to see what kind of progress they get through by the Friday after the trip to Cali. Ray said it should not take more than 4 months to complete.

Ray loves the design and thinks that the car will look amazing in Daytona Blue and matte black. I am so excited to have my car at a highly regarded and reputable body shop. I know the car is going to far exceed any expectation I had prior to having it go to a shop like Olde English. As Ray said "By the time I am done you will be able to comb your hair and pick food out of your teeth from 5 feet in the reflection". Initially i was planning on the car being a 20 footer, I think I could like the idea of a 5 footer car that can easily be showable.

The car - an update

The car is almost stripped. Wednesday I will pick it up and take it to Olde English Creations. Daytona Blue or Grabber Orange!! Gah I can not decide. I will see what Ray gives for his advice. My car looks like shit at the moment but it looks far better than with the shit paint job the killer put on it. This is what I should have done from the damn start.

This damn color choice is getting to me. I love the color combo of blue and black, but the boldness of the orange and black would be cool. Both blue and orange where a stock 1969 factory color choice. Color examples below.

Daytona Blue Example

Grabber Orange Example

When I see Ray I am going to show him both renderings and get his opinion too. HE has been painting for 35ish years. I am pretty sure he can give me a good opinion.

Fresh tattoo work is always nice. Gotta love 3 hours of color work for 50 bucks. Big love goes out to Polly! Got my rat fink mostly colored in today. Once it heals up it will get some last green tone touch up and the gold R.F. filled in. The green that Amy picked out is perfect, as I said it is the perfect blend of vomit green and snot green. Amy is really tearing it up with her tattoo skills.

Not much else went on today. Same ol' shit different day.
3 more days.....

till the firebird goes to get blasted with walnut shell. Just got the rear quarter glass to get out and it will be good to go. I have to order a new rear passenger quarter panel and a hood tach sometime this week so they can go with the car to Olde English Creations. Got Ron helping me tow it to Proios for blasting with his truck. I need to find someone to do a custom rendering of my car before it starts getting painted. But that costs money and that is a sore subject at the moment.

Went out and about today, ate some Taco Shop and bought a new digital camera and flip video ultra. Both will rock for the trip. I wish it was here already. I can not stand waiting anymore.

I almost applied for a job in San Diego the other day but decided against it. Amber would have killed me had I gotten it. It was a job as a college grad entry level project manager for Sony Online Entertainment working on a new MMO project they have. The economy sucks right now, its making it hard to get a job worth a shit. Plenty of crap jobs out there that I could get, but be damned if I am going to take something making less than about 35k a year or so. I did not do my time in college and get a bachelors of business admin degree to get paid shit. Still got some hope for BioVigilant and the international shipping lead position. Just may have to play the waiting game for when the accountants say the company can hire more employees. Still got a couple prospects at Raytheon that may pan out. O'well what can you do, maybe my degree doesn't mean a fucking thing. Just gotta keep hoping and keep applying I guess, eventually someone will bite. Just dismaying.

Well off to play some MORE video games and listening to music.

Picked up some desert rain, dragons blood and sandlewood incense.

Can't wait for disneyland to get here. Got the 2 story house setup, car rented, lots of good friends going. Its going to be a rad trip. Going to six flags on monday before we leave. Can't wait to ride X2, Goliath and Superman there. But really looking forward to eating a chimi and having some hot chocolate, and maybe a rice krispie treat while watching Fantasmic and the fire works.

Well off to apply for more jobs, and waste more time playing video games while waiting for the trip.

Mmmmm Guillermos.

6 days until my car goes to get stripped then on April 10th it goes to a real paint shop to get redone. Whoohoooo. While that is away we are going to finish the valve train on the motor and get it prepped for a few dyno pulls and then into the car it goes. I can not wait to see how the paint turns out after Ray at Olde English Creations lays it down. Gonna be a $7k+ paint job now. So it will make the bird a slightly less used vehicle. O well, still be a nice ride to have. Guess I will have to buy another later for a daily driver.

Teeth is an awesome movie. VAGINA DENTATA!!!!! Fun movie to see. Next up to bat is Romero's: Diary of the Dead. Can't wait to see it. Looks to be another great movie from the horror master.

Still no luck on getting a job yet. Been applying all over. At this point its just a waiting game.

OH MY GOD I AM POSTING!! Hell has frozen over, so is Tucson.

It is snowing outside in Tucson right now. Dumping snow like you would never believe in FEBRUARY! Snow that is starting to stick the ground. Screw all of the global warming propagandists. I am putting my faith in the Canadian and Russian climatologists that state we have peaked out and starting to get cooler again. Cycles of the earth my friends, possibly another little ice age like the earth had a couple hundred years ago? Seems that they understand ocean conveyance a bit more than the news does and understands what is going on. Although they have been discussing that we could potential enter into global cooling in a decade or two, but hey, global cooling is for crackpots and people on crack.

VIVE LE LITTLE ICE AGE!!!

Getting a new LCD monitor soon so its gotta be clean for a nice new piece of electronics. I am either going to get a 21 inch HD Gateway widescreen monitor or maybe a 24 inch HD Dell widescreen monitor.

Thought this was funny and worth putting up.

EDIT:
I just came across this (NOT WORK FRIENDLY)
Rate my Cameltoe

Da Foose

While in Cali with the family at Disneyland, we decided to make a few pit stops on the way home. First we stopped by Boyd Coddingtons shop in La Habra. Nice place but I hate the Boyd. While looking at a Corvette in the showroom, my dad blurts out (with other people standing about including employees) "This paint job really fucking sucks" I look over and whisper "Boyd painted that". We both cracked up and had people staring at us. After that we drove over to Hunington Beach to visit Foose Design auto shop. We missed the first visitor hours so we jumped over to Long Beach. We swung by West Coast Choppers and took a look at the showroom and stood outside watching them film what looked to be a Jeg's autoparts commercial. Jesse was outside when we drove up but went back into his shop as we drove up. After that we drove back to Hunington Beach and back to Foose Design. As we drove up, I saw a familiar face crossing the street outside of Foose Design then saw a couple others there. I had a brief but great conversation with Charley former employee of Boyd Coddington/on the American Hot Rod show on discovery.

Me and Charley
